Best drinks for summer require no preparation.. like coconut water, nimbu paani and buttermilk. Then there are the following ones.. to add more protein/goodness of chia/buttermilk variations.
All-day Refreshing Drink
- Water – 1.5 Litres
- Chia Seed – 2 Tbsp
- Black Salt – 1 Tsp
- Chaat Masala – 1 Tsp
- Honey – 2 Tbsp or as per taste
- Juice of 2 Lemon
- Mint Leaves - Few
- Beetroot – ½ Medium
Mix all the ingredients and let the water sit for 30 mins so that the chia seeds plump up.
Good for skin.

Hydrating Mint Drink
- Mint leaves
- 1/2 tsp jeera (cumin seeds)
- 1 tsp honey
- Soaked chia seeds
- Juice of 1 lemon
- A pinch of salt
- Little bit water to blend
Blend until smooth.
Slice cucumbers and place them in a glass. (I think I will add the cucumber directly to blender)
Add the blended jeera honey mixture to the glass along with soaked chia seeds
Add water, and stir well.

Curry leaves Lassi
- 1 cup yogurt
- curry leaves
- cumin seeds (jeera)
- coriander leaves
- 1 green chili, chopped
- 1-inch piece of ginger
- Salt to taste
In a blender, add all the ingredients & blend!
Protein-rich Sattu Drink
- 1/4 cup sattu powder
- 1 cup yoghurt
- pudina leaves/powder
- roasted cumin powder, black salt
- water 1/2-1 cup
Bel Sharbat
- 1 Bel/wood apple
- black salt, roasted cumin
- 2 tbsp jaggery powder
Watermelon Cooler
Most ingredients are predictable, but I like the idea of adding chia seeds/gond katira to it.
- watermelon pulp - blend to make the juice
- salt, mint leaves, lemon juice
- soaked chia seeds/gond katira
